Iur Cinn Fleadh is an annual traditional Irish music and community festival based in Newry City (Ireland), County Down which is held from Thursday 25 August to Monday 29 August 2022 in various venues throughout the city.
This is the 8th year of the festival and each year it just gets better and better. The best in trad and folk music with over 60 events for everyone including a concert with great bands in Newry Town Hall.
Kieran Cunningham as Dave Allen throws a bit of comedy into the mix. Take a two hour Trad Cruises on Newry Canal with live traditional music and refreshments And of course there will be trad sessions galore in Newry’s best hostelries and cafes. The 2018 Musical Icon Award will recognise our very own Josephine Keegan composer of over 1200 tunes. A Pop-Up Gaeltacht will run for the first year – on a double decker bus in the centre of town.
